Whether you are new to condo living, or an old hand, this Site is intended to give an idea of the 'flavor' and ethos of the Wild Oaks Homeowners' experience.
We are a group of 52 units--some folks starting out, some folks starting over, some folks in their golden years, and everything in between. It's a diverse group that shares a few common characteristics: people who want a good return on their investment, people who want to enjoy a life free of the time consuming chores of owning a single family home and a safe, pleasant and tidy 'refuge from the storm.'
To accomplish this hassle free existence, we collectively pool our money, in the form of monthly Homeowner 'dues' to take care of such chores as cutting the grass, maintaining the pool, cleaning the gutters and repairing the roads, providing adequate insurance on all units, etc. Additionally, this pooled money takes cares of many services you would pay out of pocket living in a single family home--like garbage pickup, recycling, water and sewage, and exterior painting, just to name a few.
To ensure that we keep Wild Oaks as a good investment for all of us, we maintain and enforce a set of standards on what we, collectively, can and cannot do. This is contrary to American individualism, but the standards are necessary for many reasons. Since we live so close to each other, what any homeowner does, or does not do, has ramifications on each neighbor, and we are all neighbors, and on the property values of each homeowner and resident in the complex. And since we share our expansive 'backyard' and 'clubhouse’ with everyone who lives here, we have to set standards, agreeable to sensible and reasonable people, on what is and what is not permissible on our common property.
We welcome you and ask you to contribute to the special quality of life we enjoy in Wild Oaks.
